A shared wishlist that makes gift giving easier
When someone asks what you would like for your birthday, a useful answer is already waiting. Keep ideas from different shops in one list, explain the details that matter and invite the people choosing a gift.
Start with an occasion and a few useful ideas
Create a wishlist for a birthday, Christmas or another occasion. Give it a clear name and add a short description: when the celebration is, what you enjoy and whether there are things you already own. Add products from different shops with a link, an image and a price when you know it. A wishlist helps someone choose; it does not need to be a shopping order.
Add the details a gift giver would otherwise have to ask for
For clothing, write down the size and colour. For a book, include the author or edition. For a hobby, explain whether you need the main item or an accessory. Include ideas at different prices so people can pick something that suits them. Prices and availability can change: check the shop before buying.
Invite people and coordinate reservations
Share an invitation link with family or friends. They can preview the invitation, then sign in to join the list. Choose the access that makes sense for them. On wishlists with reservations enabled, members can reserve an item to help avoid two people buying the same gift. Reserving an item in Listry does not buy it or hold stock at the shop.
Choose whether the surprise stays hidden
Surprise mode hides reservation status from the list owner. Anonymous reservations hide who reserved an item from other members. These are different settings: choose them before sharing, so everyone understands what the recipient can see. Once an occasion is over, review the list and remove ideas you no longer want.
Sharing an invitation is different from publishing
Lists start private. Inviting someone to collaborate does not publish the list in Discover. Publish only when you want anyone to read the title, description, items and your public display name. Leave addresses, personal messages and other sensitive details out of a list you choose to publish.
